Looking to build a new rig in the next month or so and finalizing some desicions

BTW first post here so... um... Hi

Case: CoolerMaster CM-Stacker

PSU: Antec True 550 (550 Watt for the slow ones 😛)

Motherboard: MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum ( nforce 3 ultra chipset :thumbsup: )

CPU: AMD 64 3500+ or 3800+ (3800 if prices fall soon)

Memory: 1 GB Corsair PC3200 DDR 400

Video Card: Geforce 6800 Ultra (when they are available)

Sound Card: Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Gamer

Hard Drive: Western Digital 74 GB Raptor

Optical: Have a Plextor 52x32x52 CD-RW and 16x DVD-ROM Drive

Floppy: who cares

Total: $1851 ish


Waiting mainly for HL2 and Doom 3 and the video card and motherboard to become available then time to build, hopefully I dont change my mind about too many things before hand and hopefully prices drop 😀

im open to suggestions if anyone has read anything bad about anything here (I haven't)
 
i am trying to build the same thing basically..but without the ultra....and it was pretty close to 1800...i dunno if your rig would cost 1800 tho..i am thinkin more.
