According to pcpartpicker, my power draw will be a bit under 600 W.

Specs that matter:
i5 13600KF
4070 FE

For a PSU, I wanted to get the MSI MEG Ai1000P for a lot of headroom for future upgrades (and maybe a future build altogether), but I can't find it anywhere at the moment.

Is 1000 W overkill anyway? I thought of getting an 850 W or so unit but I'm not sure what to go for (the MSI MEG series starts at 1000 W). I don't mind paying up for the absolute best quality I can get, by the way, so feel free to recommend poor bang-for-the-buck units, if necessary.

Like, I really am prioritizing solid power delivery/rails and low temps. Low noise would be bonus, but not a priority.

Not OCing.

1000w for that build is over the top. A 750w or 850w is plenty with room to spare. Corsair, Seasonic, Super flower, EVGA all have great units in that size. I'm pleased with my Corsair RM850x.

I stick with EVGA 850's as they're a good performance price mix. I have two of them and they're silent. 10yr warranty as well. IIRC they're g3 models and avg $100. The first one I picked up is now at $150 though and picked up a similar spec one for $100 a little while back. I would hold off on the 1k size as they'll come down in price as they age a bit.

This may be a stupid question, but...

...I don't need a PSU with a newer 12VHPWR connector, right? In which case I would use 2 x 8 pin connectors with the GPU's included adapter?
