New rig - BSOD at windows startup

Hey guys, so I recently just installed an i7 2600k and a Asus P8Z68-V Pro GEN3 into my rig in my sig, replacing the old Phenom II x4 and 790FXT-UD5P. I've been getting weird BSODs at startup now. I can NOT get into Windows no matter what I try. The Windows is starting animation plays, and then it goes to a black screen. Before I can see my cursor, it BSODs. I heard that you have to reinstall windows when you get a new cpu and motherboard so is that the problem?

Its the motherboard chipset that typically gives you fits. Change cpu all you want, but change the mobo and you "usually" need a reload or repair
