Hi all, I am building my new computer and running into some problems. I didn't get my new PSU in the mail yet so I am using my old one (Thermaltake Toughpower 750w).

I so far have only these 4 things plugged in:

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
ASUS GTX670-DC2-2GD5 GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI
Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000
ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB

System panel so far only has the power switch pins connected.

What I am seeing is this:
1) Press power button
2) Fans start up for about 5 seconds
3) MB codes read 10, then goes to 15, and then 19
4) System resets and start back at 2

I have tried switching the RAM from banks A1, B1 to A2, B2 and I have tried clearing the CMOS.

I have also removed the video card and experience the exact same thing.

Any idea whats going on here, could it be not enough power? I will try my new PSU when it arrives tomorrow.

Socket Family Number Core Frequency BLK Cache Power BIOS
1155 Core i5 i5-3570K(E1) Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz BLK 100MHz 6MB 77W P2.10
I've no idea what BIOS shipped with your board but, I'm wondering if it could be an earlier version than P2.10?

I'd also try with just one stick of ram in case there's a a bad stick.

Thanks, I tried putting one at a time into bank A2 and its still doing the exact same thing.

Not sure how to find the BIOS version but I did see a sticker on the board that said P1.30-15B. Is that the version?

If I understand the manual correctly [ftp://174.142.97.10/manual/Z68 Extreme4.pdf] - "dr debug" = code display:

0x10 PEI Core is started
0x15 Pre-memory North Bridge initialization is started
0x19 Pre-memory South Bridge initialization is started

google search on code 19 for your motherboard - looks like a very finicky motherboard:

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/308447-30-asrock-extreme4-gen3-debug-code

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/309918-30-asrock-code-error

Looks like it may be the BIOS. Try downloading the latest bios from ASrock and flash it.

Thanks. I will probably have to call them tomorrow then, I can't download and install the bios because the board won't post so I cannot access the flash updater.

Yes, it would seem the BIOS version you have does not support the CPU you are using. Without another CPU to boot it, I think you'll have to take it to a computer shop to have them flash the BIOS to a later version.
