New replaceemtn for Vista sidebar?

Ok, so I have been experimenting wiht different replacements for Vista sidebar and have come up with the folling:

Google gadgets
Yahoo Widgets or
DesktopX (gadgets/widget)

I have tried Yahoo and didnt like the giant sidebar it installed onthe side like vista sidebar then I treid DesktopX and so far am kind of liking that but tis not having the decent apps that i like and I dont like the selection from Google...

Also, I would rather have an app that runs in the background and has its own seperate gadgets that run on it instead of each gadget being its own seperate .exe file...

Anyway, what do you think? What do you use? Why?
