If I can ever figure out how to work my Fuji Finepix 1400 digital camera I'll see if I can snap a few pictures of this glorious brand new theatre here in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon. The inside is a H shape which is weird, you buy tickets from the outside, and there's an escalator inside.

I saw my first movie there last night "Quills", wow what a perverse flick.

Oh and most importantly they have these new seats and they finally got the stadium seater rising right.

Yeah we got a Regal Cinemas 24(!) about 16 months ago here in Atlanta, stadium seating, the whole bit. It's a great theatre. Expensive though, something like $8, a little more than most theatres around here.

You should see what Regal Cinemas thought of "stadium seater rising" about 2-3 years ago, there was an incline with steps but all you needed was someone 6' or a woman with poofy hair and there goes a good view of the screen.

Rates here in Portland are $5.25 before 6 AM and children and $7.50 evenings I think. I have a friend who's an assistant manager at another Regal who gets me free tickets.

Another great theatre which is close to me is Century Cinemas off of SE 82nd Ave near the old Eastport Plaza.

Yo Ross. If your downtown near the Fox tower some nite and you see the big red Hook and Ladder truck cruise by give a wave, could be me. Hopefully we wont look like this. Support your local Fireman.

We have two theatres here with stadium seating. It is kinda cool seeing a movie at one of them. One is the General Cinema 14 at Franklin Mills Mall in Philly and the other is the Neshaminy AMC 24. The AMC 24 is the best in the area, because they have THX-certified sound on top of everything else.
