New Receiving Limit for Paypal Personal Accounts

We're writing to let you know that beginning February 12, 2004, PayPal is introducing a new policy that may affect your PayPal Personal Account. The amount your Personal Account will be able to receive will be limited to $1,000.00 USD per month. This limit is designed to ensure a level playing field for all members who sell online. Therefore, only payments received from eBay, auction or website sales will count towards the receiving limit.

Rossman: you have to start accepting credit card payments now.

Just get 2 paypal accounts 😉

that might be risky. paypal can withhold the amounts and lock the accounts.

Not if you have one registered for your business and one for your own personal use =)

yes. but you cannot have two personal accounts at the same time.

People will find ways around everything. I don't sell $1000 worth of stuff so it doesn't really concern me... but people will find loopholes.

Hmm... I have a personal and a premier at the same time.
Is that against the TOS?

No...unless they changed that rule too...

Hi psteng19,

"Hmm... I have a personal and a premier at the same time.

No., that is not against the User Agreement. However, you couldn't "split" the payments by listing with a Premier account, then directing the buyer to pay a personal account (if that makes sense).
