New Ram in a PowerEdge 800 Server

Hey all,

I just got new ram for my PowerEdge 800 Dell server machine. It's Kingston PC2-4200 ram. It's 240 pin ECC. I put i in the machine and then it would not boot up and just beeps a few times. I tried placing it in alone without the old memory and the same problem. I know the ram pairs are staggered, so I know they are in the correct slots. Is the ram bad or just incompatible?

It wouldn't hurt to show the SPECIFIC model number of Kingston RAM that you've got.

The biggest potential problem would be if you've got Registered RAM. The Dell 800 wants Unbuffered RAM.
