Dear friends of xs, Im going to get a 2x1gb of ram for my system, and I would like to help me to choose te best ones.
I want to go as higher as posible withe the memories (500mhz or more) at lowest latencies...2-2-2-5? The best combination for mi AMD processor....

I have in mind:

Gracias Marty, 😉

Dont worry about the shipping I can deal with that, the thing is about the memories

Thanks to MarcVenice, but I wonder how much oc would I get with the gskill or any other memory

Do you have an Opty 165 or an Opty 148 ???

If your '148' is at 3GHz (272mhz x 11) - DDR533 2.8v - (266mhz stock - pretty close)

If your '165' is at 3ghz (333mhz x 9) - DDR500 2.8v - (ram speed 499.5 with 3/4 divider)

@heyheybooboo: Thanks for your answer, I have an Opteron 165 and haven't update my sign.

My confusion is basicaly between the OCZ and the Mushkin
Ocz could get about 240mhz@cas 2 and mushkin about 270@cas 3, I dont know what would be better for the performarce with an opteron

@Roguestar: Jajajaja, thats because we speak "chilean" spanish

Well what would be better higher oc at higher latencies or lower oc at lower latencies?

¿Qué? 🙂

Huge variables (OC, ram, mobo, voltages, timings) make that almost impossible to predict. You have to 'feel' your way along and run your own tests to find the optimum speed and reliability.

Good luck!

"El grande oc y el grande latencias", is that near enough? 😀

Thanks...but you are right, but I have to decide between these memories...and then feel....=P

@Roguestar: Jejeje yeap, but it would be better...
un mayor oc y mayores latencias (o latencias más altas..thats would be like "taller" latencies)
