new RAM causing constant restarts??

well last week i decided that it was time to buy and install some new/more ram...i had 512mb of pc2700 single channel ram in my mobo....well i ordered some OCZ dual channel pc2700 ram (1gb) and it came in on tuesday...i installed it tuesday with no problems, everything was working fine and great. wednesday came, everything is still working great all day wednesday. today, thursday, i turned my computer on at about 11:30, played cs for a few hours, no problem. i go and watch tv for about 4 hours and i come back to find my pc restarted. so im sitting at my desk for about 2 minutes and it restarts again, it would restart just about every time i tried to open a program. so i reformat, doesn't fix the problem...i finnally take out the new RAM and keep in my original 512mb. everything has been working fine since i did this. so i'm wondering why all of a sudden this new ram is causing my system to keep restarting? it was fine for 2 days and now it just keeps restarting...........any help/suggestions would be nice, thanks
