New Raid bios

I'm pretty much a newbie to flashing bios, so please don't flame me :/

OK, I have a AT7 and abit's newest bios for it also updates the highpoint bios.

I currently have a raid array, stripe 0, of 2x maxtor 80gb drives.

If I were to flash the bios, will I lose my array? Because I know that flashing the BIOS of the motherboard it wipes out all saved settings, etc...

I just don't want to lose the partition as I have nothing burned or backed up.

no u will not lose any data. your onboard raid has its own chip on the motherboard and stores the data on that, the new bios will not affect it.
