I just set up a RAID 1 array of 2 80gb Seagates. It doesn't show up in Windows though. I'm presuming this is because I have GRUB installed and it isn't mounting the array when I boot Windows.
The first thing I need to do with the RAID array is back up stuff from my IDE C: drive so that I can remove GRUB from the MBR on my C: drive without worrying, so in other words I need to get the RAID array available in Windows before getting rid of GRUB. If there's a line to add to GRUB that'll mount it great, or an app to access it through Windows is great too.
Also, I set up the RAID 1 array but I didn't format it - should I? If so I guess that goes after getting the array to show up in Windows but before backing up data.
