Just in case anyone doesn?t know by now the newer version of Catalyst for the Radeon?s was released on 2/12/2004. I?ve installed it and after I installed it my Star Wars: Jedi Academy will not play. It gives me an error stating that the OpenGL couldn?t be launched. So I used the ?Roll Back Driver? command and now it works. Does anyone know where I can get an updated OpenGL for my Radeon 9700 128DDR and Radeon 7000 64DDR (2 separate cards on two pcs)? Or is there a setting that I?m missing in order for the OpenGL to work for my game. Thanks in advance.

That seems to be the stock answer....... if you install the drivers correctly in the first place there should never be a need for Driver Cleaner.

To my knowledge I did install the driver correctly. Any other Suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestions, but none of the above worked. Does anyone know where I can find an updated OpenGL or does it come with the driver that apparently isn't loading for whatever reason?

It does come with the ATI driver, but I suppose it might be possible that the newer version isn't being installed, in which case driver cleaner would more than likely correct the problem. You can also try the Omega Drivers, occasionally they will solve the odd bug that the Cats have.

Yeah, try the Omega Drivers, like clicknext said, they will some times fix the problem, and I get better performance with them. Good luck! :)

Awe.........Never thought of running it in safe mode. I'll try it later while I'm not at work. Thanks for the advice. I'll keep you posted.

I think it's required that you run it in safe mode. :) Because I guess some of the files that DC deletes are normally either in use or protected.

Thanks vailr, Bucksnort, and clicknext for the advice. It's working fine now. I never thought updating a video driver would be so much trouble. I've never experienced anything like this in the past. Thanks Again!
