New Radeon 9800pro got problems!!!!

Hi, I just bought a r9800 pro a couple of days ago. Ever games run perfectly smooth except for counter strike which is OpenGL. Dang game has a lot of horizontal tear and verticle when part of the screen does not move as fast as another part of the screen. This card runs counter strike much crapppier than my old 5600 that I sold. I have in the newest cat drivers and I also have formatted my system so it does not have any nvidia drivers. Any help would be great.

Enable v-sync for OpenGL. Display properties, settings, advanced.

Make sure ati_npatch 0 & ati_subdiv 0 in console.

The 3D tab. Select OpenGL and then check Use custom settings and then hit the Custom... block then go down to Wait For Vertical Sync: and slide the selector over to Always On.

The tab that would contain OpenGL (the 3D tab).
