I have just brought a new GigaByte Radeon 9600 PRO 128mb GFX card. I have run both 3DMarks, in 2001 my card got 9100 and in 3DMark 2003 it got 3140. When I run UT2003 it get 30 fps on high detail when playing a bot match. Is this ok for my card?

I have got a ECS K7S5A mobo
512 DDR RAM
XP1900 processor.

Heh, you should be getting alot more FPS. Right now your motherboard is your current bottleneck.

I was thinking of getting an Asus A7N8X-X nForce2 (Socket A) Motherboard. With an Athlon Xp 2400. Will this make much difference to my FPS in games?

well i dont know much about your current mobo, but moving to an XP 2400 or even a 2500 will help. if UT2K3 is anything like the original UT, then it is very CPU dependent, so upgrading your CPU would help significantly.

:) Well various scores I got in 3Dmark2001SE using a £45 XP1700+ TbredB were...

9500PRO @ 350/310:
2.20ghz 400FSB (XP3000+?) 14258
2.08ghz 333FSB (XP2600+) . 12677
1.67ghz 266FSB (XP2000+) . 11209 (9500 'only' @ 303/303)

4200 stock @ 250/444:
1.67ghz 266FSB (XP2000+) 9878
950mhz 200FSB (Duron950) 5321 (KT133 & PC133)

:D Still I still think it's more useful to be using 3Dmark03 on the higher end cards but be warned that CPU and FSB speeds play little part...

1.67ghz 266FSB (XP2000+) 4010 (9500PRO 350/310)

 All TbredB (inc XP1700+) should be capable of 2.1ghz with normal voltages and since they're unlocked it should be easy so long as your mobo, RAM or HSF don't become limiting. Try o/c'ing the gfx card and ideally upgrade your CPU ... but gfx card brings by far the biggest improvement when gaming.
