Official drivers are now showing up on ATI website for 8500:

Official 9X/ME 8500 drivers is 7189
Official W2K/XP 8500 drivers is 3276

Grrrr. My bad. There is no download. It says to get it from the ATI CD. Grrr. I was hoping to play with them on my older Radeon at home tonight.

Everything is falling into place to get my system.

Athlon XP 1.33Ghz (now all I need to know, if it'll clock by another 200Mhz)
Epox KT266a Mobo (its out now in the UK, for a good price 😉)
500 MB of DDR ram (2100 or 2400, now thats the question)
RADEON 8500 (will it perform like the GF3 Ti-500) [edit]Will it do 300/300 as well??[/edit]

And please do a comparison between the Athlon XP and the Pentium 4 😀

Anand, please also include a scaling analysis. Not everyone here has a 1.4 Athlon or 2.0 P4.
Anand, please also include a 98SE vs 2000 (or XP) analysis.


On second thought .... just get us the review first and worry about scaling/O.S. analysis later. 😀
