New R520 Benchmarks

Probably because they used the HA figures.

Translation
-Though vi yet can await a nicely bit age , by R520 aligns seriously ultimate at the month , can be HARDiNFO in collaboration with Hardware Analysis here introduce net first fremvisning from the expect ydelse by ATIs topmodeller Line Pro and XT.-

That's what it sounds like to me...'in collaboration'.

Not only are they in line with HA. First glance looks like exactly the same games with the same settings. That is sort of odd.

I think I know what's going on. Same R520 figures with their own other card benchmarks. So Hardinfo uses their 7800GTX benches with the Hardware Analysis's R520 figures. And it's Danish, not Dutch.

Catalyst 5.7, why not 5.8? 😛 Anyhow, Sander Sassen is full of **** and I think this article is too. This is just a Danish Sassen trolling his way into Photoshop.

Seems to be pretty much in line with the HA figures. X1800XT is competitive but certainly the 7800GTX walks away.

it's danish not dutch. 😛

it also states the benches are made with Hardware Analysis.

FFFFFFAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEE!!!!

I'm still looking for the benchmark to show ATi in the lead. And once I find it, I'll rub it in your faces!

One big difference is they actually show the test configuration.

And look at the numbers. They are not the same.

All R520 figures are the same across HardInfo and Hardware Analysis. They just threw their own 7800GTX and below benches in to the mix.

No, the R520 figures are NOT identical. Some are within 1fps but the numbers are not identical.

As I noted, this site also discloses the system configuration used to (purportedly) attain the results. HA does not.

Show me one that's different. I looked at the Far Cry and Splinter Cell benches and X1800PRO/XT are the same exact numbers. I've seen one so far that was different: the tenths and hundreths place (after decimal) were switched, obviously a typo.

"Vi har opnået vores testresultater gennem en anonym boardpartner, som var udstyret med stort set samme hardwarekonfiguration, som HARDiNFO benytter, og vi forsynede blot denne boardpartner med time-demos og scripts. Derfor er det også nødvendigt at fastslå, at resultaterne i denne artikel ikke kommer under garanti og derfor udelukkende bør og kan ses som en seriøs forsmag på ydelsen for ATI Radeon X1800 XT samt X1800 Pro."

Which basically says that they obtained these results from an anonymous boardpartner, and that they supplied this boardpartner with their time-demos and scripts. Add that to the fact that they say they worked with Hardware analysis, I think this is the same benchmark.

I believe they benched the other card configurations on the test system they identify and simply throw the R520 figures in amongst their own benchmarks.

Which was exactly what I was saying. 😕 You must have misunderstood me.

Think I'll run up a site with benchmarks as well. Do I want ATI to be better or worse than iNvidia? Which would get me more traffic? Should I claim that a card maker ran the benches in return for sexual favors, or would it be better to claim that I forced someone at ATI to give me a working card?
Play this right and I could make enough money off of this nonsense to build a new rig.
