Please stop "fixing" or "upgrading" things before the forum is totally unusable.

You have to delete all the HTML crap and manually type in the forum code to make it work. It's a PITA and it's easy to make a mess out of it if you're using a long nested quote.

But you can fix it if you have the patience.

QFT - I'd rather have it back to without all the new forums and non-working search than to have to keep seeing new "features" do nothing but loose users

Forums never have had much credibility or due respect. It's already a low life form of information.

It's not the exact same behavior in every thread though, I saw a thread or two last night where none of the quotes were borked... no idea why though.

The quotes here almost work right

I can't remember what those threads were last night, I'll edit this if I find more like them

Because that was before the latest "fix".

sometimes it works. there is a problem with nested quotes. the old way was better anyway.

I agree, I like the older system better. I have also noticed that after the first round of updates, the quote system was differant than the old, but it worked fine. After the second round of updates is when we started having problems. Go back and check some of the posts that were made the day after the first changes, you will see all is fine.

I should look something like that

That's a user specific problem. Individual results may vary. :)

The problem is that they've moved to a baseline version of FT, and they're avoiding fixing the code themselves (something that was commonplace in the past) because they want to maintain FT's support contract. My guess is that they're waiting for FT to fix the problem and release a patch.

Fixed for everyone? They work for me in IE6 and Derek has them marked as fixed in the Issues list.

It works, but I do like the old system better. These new boxes are slightly confusing or messy to look at.
