is there any reason you need an SLI motherboard? because you can find cheaper P35 motherboards if you dont need SLI

that memory is overkill, youd be much better going with 800mhz for cheaper

you may want to look at the seagate 7200.10 hard drives, they are probably the best hard drives on the market for value and performance

a corsair HX520 will do you fine for that setup

and the Samsung 226BW is a fine monitor, but i just have to recommend the HP W2207, although it is a little more expensive, you get IMO the best 22" monitor on the market. i just recently bought one and am blown away by the performance

edit: and the W2207 has a great stand. height adjustment, tilt, and it rotates 90 degrees

I would drop the SLI motherboard, a P35 motherboard is a better choice.

Are you sure you need the 640MB version of the 8800GTS? At your resolution a 320MB would still suit you just fine and you could save a lot of money. Jumping to a GTX also wouldn't be a bad idea but like I said a 320MB will be just as good as a 640MB at your resolution.

Also I'm not entirely sure about that RAM but it seems you are overclocking (if you are not then just get cheaper 1.8V RAM). If you are overclocking I would go with a X3220 and a CPU cooler instead and cheaper RAM, you don't need 1066.

I'm not sure if this is still the case but don't you risk a panel lottery with the Samsung 226BW? Anyways, unless you have bad eyesight and need the higher dot pitch, I would go with a 20" monitor, you can either save some money or spend the same money and get a MUCH better quality monitor. A 22" will only get you a bigger picture so I guess it depends on what you care about most, size or quality.

That is all for now :)

Is there a specific non-sli motherboard you would suggest? Should I look at nforce or intel chipsets?

the gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 motherboard is one of the best P35 motherboards out there and its relatively cheap, especially compared to the EVGA 680i
the ASUS P5K boards are good too
