Hey guys just got up and running my new system and what the heck... it has a xp2400 in it... see's it as a xp1800 and the mem speed is at 200mhz when I have 400mhz mem and if I have to do a restart it will not work unless I turn off the power switch on the back of my power supply? ever heard of this crap? it is a msi K7N2 mobo if that matters?

List complete specs including full PSU specs.
Memory actually runs @200MHz, but it's DDR, so that's why it's considered 400.
What does it show for clock speed on the CPU, and what program are you using to check this?

its probably showing xp1800 because you have it set to fsb 133 instead of fsb 166

Have you updated the bios on the motherboard? The MSI's are cranky running on anything less.
