New pure gaming build.

Hi all, im a long time viewer of these forums, just never registed before. But seeing how people love come up with pc builds ect, i just want to check to see if this build is cool.

So answering the questions.

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.

Pure gaming build in mind, and of course web browsing watching stuff on youtube ect to. (starcraft 2 ftw)

Game like Fallout new vegas, Starcraft 2, Gothic 4 as of now.


2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

The build i came up with came to around £900, so i don't really have a budget but i think around that is what think is cool.

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.

I live in UK, and ebuyer.co.uk is the website properly use.

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.

Nope i don't.

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.

Yes, i am going to be using My mouse, keyboard Heatset, Arctic Power 700W PSU. (rather old but good IMO) Samsung 1T harddrive. (for storage),

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.

Yes i have, i choice to get the i5 instead of i7 or AMD because ive read alot of theads saying its a good choice. Same with motherboard. Also its the reason i did't upgrade 2 weeks ago (waited for new 6870 card).

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.

Yes i do plan to overclock.

8. What resolution YOU plan on gaming with.

I plan on getting a new mointor soon a 120hz one so 1920x1080, (i use 1920x1200 at the moment).

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?

ASAP.

The new build i am hopfully going to get is. (case because it looks cool :S, and light thing because my sister saw it, and wanted me to get one lol)

That's like upgrading from a 10.7sec 1/4 mile time super-bike to a 10.4sec 1/4 mile time car

Looks fine, though I would probably get a high-end air cooler like a Noctua NH-U12P as opposed to the H50. You'll run into a cooling capacity wall with the H50 that you won't with a beefy heatsink. There's only so much heat that the H50's tiny amount of fluid can move.
