haven't had one of these for a while :) everybody post relatively new punk/ska albums that you think others will enjoy!

here are my submissions (albums):

rump shaker by suburban legends (thirdwave ska)
my degeneration by flashlight brown (rockish punk)
american cheese by nerf herder (nerd punk)
cheer up! by reel big fish (thirdwave ska)

Reel Big Fish hasn't had a good album since Everything Sucks. I don't think Cheer up! is even a decent album.

I liked Rufio's MCMLXXXV (1985)...
Less than Jake's new CD Anthem gets better with every listen.
Brand New's Deja Entendu is hot trash, but that's more like emo/math rock. Reminds me a lot of the Braid I had scavanged up.

Oh yeah, Dropkick Murphy's Blackout was pretty good, though they're sounding more and more like Flogging Molly.

Yellowcard's new CD "Ocean Avenue" is really, really good. I've been listening to it for about a week straight now and it just gets better and better.

Tracks 6 and 13 are the best, I say. Good stuff!

hehe...I haven't really gotten too much punk music lately, just the LTJ album, home grown, suicide machines...a few others, but don't remember what.

The Aquabats will always be number 1! I love "My Red Sweater" and the "Invisible Man", great and touching songs.

who the hell said brand new was 'math' rock? lol. that cd is insanely good, but mathy?

wow people listening to home grown still. crazy (laughs because um.. well someone will point it out probably)

i cant stand ska.

i cant believe people are listening to suburban legends. i forget what label they're on, but i remember being shocked when i heard they were on it. i remember seeing them open for my friend's band a few times.. i remmeber them playing for liek 15 people at chain reaction.. so weird :)

anyway, my top 3 CDs of this year are brand new - deja entendu, the bled - pass the flask, and spitalfield - Remember Right Now (i dont know when that cd came out but i heard it sometime this year so that counts i guess :p)
