Seems like an over priced bundle at this point. And by the time it comes out, Playstation 2 is going to be on their last leg limping towards the next console design.

I am a fan of the PSX, but I do agree that the PS2 was a crap platform. Even the programmers who signed contracts for exclusives with Sony agreed that it was just to complicated to develope games on.

X-Box would be my second choice, but why? I have a PC I just spent 800 dollars on upgrades for and I'm loving the games that come out for it. Every X-Box game that comes out is available for the PC anyway, except for the exclusives.

Thats pretty cool but a little too late... Like someone else said the PS2 will be basically done by the time this upgraded version comes out. If Sony really wanted people to jump on it they should release it by fall for $200 and slash the PS2 for $99. Too bad it wont happen.

rofl. the xbox is much more capable than the ps2 in terms of hardware, so do you honestly think that microsoft isn't going to have a solution to compete with (and probably outperform) the ps3? ummm......................duh.


in regards to the PSX....it seems like a good idea at first, but now that i think of it it's just a half-assed attempt coming from sony to have a more up to date console and acquire some bragging rights. in terms of gaming, a DVD-R and 120gb (why the fvck is this so big anyway?!!?!) add very little. not to mention that the price of this thing is going to be $500+, it really seems like a poor move on sony's behalf. as a ps2 owner (and xbox), i really couldn't give two sh!ts if this comes out in the U.S. or not.

I dont know why they would relase this now with PS2 still owning a majority of market share.
