Stick with Antec, Enermax, forton, etc. and if your really on a budget go with sparkle power.

budget and good psu are oxymorons, dont skimp on what powers your whole computer. get a name brand like qbackin said, ocz has some nice power supplys too. whats your system like? you may only need a 350 watt power supply.

Hey OP,
.Please learn how to do a proper link with a useful proxy title so we don't have to chase links to find out whatcher talikin about.

e.g. (L=Rosewill 400)URL(/L) - just replace the parens with brackets and use the complete URL in between and you get the following: Rosewill 400 .

. And the above is the only one of the three I'd even consider. It's made by ATNG/Coolmax.

just a question, why is it that if it isnt certain brands then the product sucks? i just read a review on the mge psu @ overclockersclub.com and they said their only con with this psu was that it came with sata cable adapters not built in ones other than that the psu is perfect.

MGE is an unknown quantity. ATNG/Coolmax has been around long enough to have a feel for the quality. Besides which, very few of the fanboy sites have a clue as to how to test PSUs. Some don't even use a meter to measure the voltages - relying on the software readings (which everyone knows are inaccurate). Most never test over half power - and certainly not to failure. Which is one of the best ways to tell quality - what happens when the thing goes over the edge. Does it die gracefully, keeping the nastiness to itself, or does it take other stuff along with it?
. Take a chance on MGE if you want - someone has to... ;)
. Besides which I'd pay an extra 10 and get the Rosewill 450.
. Anything less than 20A on the +12 is prehistoric these days... Some of the better 350 Watters have 25A on the +12!

mge is built by Youngyear (aspire, x-connect, etc) and actually they tested the psu with a multimeter because their mobo didnt support mobo monitor yet. heres the review if you want to check it out Review

Who is claiming that Aspire or X-Connect PSUs are good? The same tek-impaired web sites??? I would call them sub-par. Far more show than go.
. One site had the X-Connect blow up on them during testing. And another said theirs wouldn't even power up if more than a half power load was attached. One of the sites dubbed the X-Connect: "Crap that glows."

TTGI is an acceptable brand - 22A on the +12 is reasonable. Where you getting it for $20.???
