Hey guys. My system is about 3 years old. Recently my moboard and PSU blew out during a thunderstorm. This was the 2nd PSU to blow on this setup, so I want to get a good one this time. I don't want to rebuild a new system, so I've bought a new board and need a solid PSU to get me through at least 2 more years. How much power do I need to run this system?

Asus A8N32 SLI deluxe (socket 939)
Athlon 64 3000+
Geforce 8500GT
2x512 mb corsair ram
samsung 160gb 7200 RPM SATA drive
1 dvd burner/drive

Also, I may add my old ATI 256mb card and run 2 PCI-e 16 cards with multiple monitors. How much extra power will a 2nd video card require? Thanks for any help.

Antec Earthwatts series is one I would look for... all you need for your current setup is 380w

Depending on which other cards you add it may change the power requirement

What is your old Ati card

I think a 380 would do fine, but you could go up one wattage level just to be on the safe side. Earthwatts is a great value PSU

Plenty of juice, and a solid recommendation.

You can also check out the 300+ watt Seasonics and the Green Power FSPs.
