Specs
I7 3770k 4.5ghz
2x7870 1200mhz oc'd
GTX 650 oc'd
2x128gb Vertex 4's
6x120mm red led
8gb of 1600mhz DDR3

I have a few options avaliable to me.
HX 750 v2
AX 850
OCZ Fatalt1ty 1000W Modular

Please remember I would like not to waste money on something I dont need. So please no recommendations of 1500w units -_______- a number of forums keep recommending 1k+ units I am no so stuiped as to believe I need more then 1k. However any help would be wonderful!!!!!!!!!!

Where are you located / where are you buying from?

Ignore the OCZ unit.

HX 750 V2 is powerful enough, it has 4x 6+2-pin PCI connectors so it supports dual 8-pin graphics cards. Your 7870's will use two 6-pin connectors so there will be plenty of power overhead for connecting the GTX 650 via a molex-PCIe adapter. I'd estimate your gaming load power consumption at around 500-550 watts.

Compared to AX850, HX750 is probably a lot cheaper but there's not much difference between them apart from that. Both are highly efficient, modular and with 7 year warranty.

I am using Umart 4113 store as well as MSY. I dont use newegg or any online store, as I am against using any credit card details online. And thanks for the responses! Why forget the OCZ unit? Is it crappy and also it seems like I will go the AX850 unless you can find a reason not go with it. The psu I intend to have for future builds btw.

Cheers thus far :D

OCZ Fatal1ty 1000W is not crappy, it actually performs pretty well. But it is a bit overkill, the build quality isn't as good as on Corsair units, and the warranty is 2 years shorter.

One reason not to go with AX850 is that HX750 is sufficiently powerful and a lot less expensive. Also do you have the HX850 V2 available and how does it compare with AX850 in price?

Ok. I'd probably just get HX750. Even AX850 only has four PCIe connectors and will force you to use an adapter for the 650, but if it makes you more comfortable to have that extra 100W... go ahead

Ignore the OCZ unit.

Yea I agree with this. OCZ psus are trouble. Get one of the corsair psus instead.

The HX series is very good and a cheaper alternative to the not much better AX series. You would pretty much just be paying the premium for full modularity on he AX series instead of semi modularity on the HX, which does not really justify the price difference imo. But if's it's just $4 more like you mentioned above, then the AX series seems more attractive now. Typically the price diffeence is more like $30-40.
