GameStop has coupons for their PowerUP rewards members that knocks 100 bucks off the sticker price of a new PS3. Should work with both free and paid memberships.

Person must have the card, and print a coupon to go into the store and buy the PS3... but 199 for a new one is a pretty good deal, IMO.

Let me know what you all think.

Doesn't seem to be available by way of link... you have to log into your PowerUp rewards account on their site to get access to the coupon.

I don't have access to my PowerUp member card, so I can't activate to see the coupon. Just received email from GameStop mentioning the deal.

Here's the text from the email:

4 DAYS LEFT TO SAVE!

Time is running out to buy a new 160 or 320 GB Sony PlayStation 3 and save $100!

You only have until May 29 to print the member-exclusive coupon to receive the discount. Look for the coupon in your Active Offers section of your PowerUp Rewards account. Simply log in, print your members-only coupon, and get to your nearest GameStop store.

Don't forget to bring your coupon and swipe your PowerUp Rewards card to get $100 off!

Long story short, log into your activated PowerUp Rewards account to find the coupon.

No items to display

This is what it shows in my powerup rewards account under active offers.

May be targeted to only specific population

I guess they do say member specific... guess I need to include the YMMV tag.

Maybe they're trying to get the customers who missed out on the $160 Target gift card deal (making the PS3 ~$150 after tax).

Around here a ton of these hit the stores as trade-ins for XBoxes when PSN went down.

I called customer service for my Power up rewards program and asked them about the $100 coupon for the PS3. They told me it was given out to selected members and not everyone will get the coupon. Oh well, I was looking forward to getting the coupon. Instead I purchased one from Best Buy for $299 and received a $60 Best Buy gift card.
