Whoops sorry!

I was wondering if anyone has a solution to a problem that's been bothering me for a while. I recently replaced a Sparkle Power 235 watt PS with an Antec 300 watt PS out of a YCC-802 case and ever since then I can hear noise coming from somewhere in the machine through my speakers. This is even more pronounced when I minimize or max a window (I hear a "zip" like sound every time I do this) I can even hear the transmissions from my mouse!

I know this is a dumb question but is this why the last PS had a "Noise Supressor" sticker on it? This is also something I can distinguish even over an MP3. Any hardware that can take care of this? Radio Shack stuff, anything?

Yeah I was intending on posting in "Cases and Overclocking" but goofed and started it here, as you can see, you can get a response to almost anything here, in seconds...:D

Is it possible that the fan in your new power supply could be causing the problem?

Does the noise go away if you put your old power supply in?

Definitely possible Stefan. The old one is fried but it did not do this with the old PS. I guess this is the difference between the original components in my SuperMicro and the old Yeo-Chi corporation stuff.

Beat,
What's the best way to do that?

I had a similar problem on a computer I used to have. It wasn't the power supply that did it in that case, though. I know this because I had used that motherboard in that case with that supply before. In my case, it was just the sound card. I used an old OLD SB16 out of an old Acer 486 I had lying around, and whenever I would scroll my mouse wheel, my sub would lightly thump-th-th-th-th-thump-thump-thump for each click of the wheel. It's kinda annoying but I got used to it. I'm sure a well-placed capacitor would do some good. That's all a noise supressor is. Where to put it though, is beyond me. Good luck.
