Pretty progress graph here lczero.org. This project has started recently, based on google's alphazero paper. There is a cpu only contribute method, but GPUs are several times faster. Progress just really started today with learning on the self play games being automated, but it has been gaining +100 elo a day, so it is just now a decent club player with a little bit of time per move.
To contribute, see here: https://github.com/glinscott/leela-chess/wiki/Getting-Started

If you're rated 1200-1800 elo, you might enjoy trying its crazy style unlike any other chess engine here: http://play.lczero.org/
Let me know if you need help getting client.exe running to help contribute to training!

Looks cool, I think AI algorithms are at work here.

When I get back into the office, I'll take a look and maybe give seti a break for awhile, or just run TR for seti and 1080 for this. Hmmm
