all of the sudden my optorite dvd rewrite (junk) doesn't work. When I am trying to save a Word doc. to it, something I do several times a week, everything quits responding. and then Incd tells me it has to mark it as read only or something like that. (the message is so quick I can hardly read it). then I can't access the cd or even open the door until I reboot the compute.
I haven't done anything new except install spybot and adaware since this is a relatively new system and I am just now getting that reinstalled. does anyone know what I should do. I tried to restore but it would do it from the point I tried.
I also tried to format my old hard drive that I gave hooked up and it won't let me, telling me that I need to close any applications running from it. As far as I know nothing is. I want to use it as extra space. Right now it has windows on it from my old system. Could any of this be related? thanks
