New Printer Help!

I just got a new printer, and I was a bit dismayed that it didn't come with a USB cable. It was my fault though, I overlooked the fact that it did not come with one.

I just need some help knowing what kind of USB cable to use. The printer is a Canon Pixma IP4000, and the USB connector is square and not like a usual USB connector. Please help me on which kind of USB cable to buy! I'm hoping to pick one up at my local store soon.

Just get a standard USB cable. The connector _is_ the normal one for the device end of the business. On the host (computer) end, you have the "A" type connector (flat), on the peripheral device end you have the "B" type plug (square).

Printers haven't been coming with data cables for ages now. This is just normal.

Yes, the Pixma line uses the normal USB 2 A-to-B cable. Call around to your local Mom & Pop computer stores for cables - at the big-box stores they'll bend you over and rip you a new one for cables... Should be able to find one for under $10. if I can buy 'em for $2.
