I am looking to buy a nice printer from $300 - $500. Anyone have some recommendations for one? This printer will be used for my Mortgage business which is based from my home.

Unless you want to print tabloid (11 x 17) you need only spend $67-$177.

Canon ip3000 http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=28-102-153&depa=0

Canon ip4000 http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=28-102-154&depa=0

if you need the big stuff (11x17) get a Canon i9900 http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=28-102-142&depa=0

If you want a Laser...a B&W laser can be had for a lot less than 300-500.

For inktjets I also reccomend canon, you cant hear em, and they are very efficient and cheap on ink. (they also have seperate cartridges, one for each color, which doesnt make you throw away a nearly halfful cartridge away because one of the three colors is empty)

Get a used HP laserJet printer from the 4XXX series, eg 4000 & up, they are built like tanks, have good print speed and depending on the model support a Jet direct card to connect to your network and a 500 sheet Legal paper tray can be standard on some models. Since you will be printing a lot of text documents I would stay away from any inkjet / Non laser printer.
