I haven't had new glasses in some time, maybe 3-4 years, and a similar prescription for the past 8 years or so. Today I went to see my eye doctor to get a potential problem checked out, luckily everything is fine but he said we should get a new set of glasses going.

They made them on the spot and damn! I can now see more clearly than ever before, it amazes me, like HD compared with regular TV. It's almost too much detail when I'm on the street looking at everything.

The issue is that all day it's been giving me a bit of a headache, and it feels like when you wear a wrong-prescription set of specs. Almost like my depth perception is messed up. Is this normal for a new set? I imagine it was a pretty serious prescription jump.

that is normal for a few days, if you don't get used to it by monday or tuesday, then go back and have them check it

The effect is common and so is the fact that next year your eye prescription will have gotten worse. Those glasses are too strong for your eyes. That is why you are getting a headache. This prescription you are wearing will weaken your eyes further.
