These processors need serious cooling, no surprise there! Also take notice that OEM solutions are starting to take shape (and size!) of coolers that were "enthusiast" models of just a year ago.

Cheers!

Heh.... yeah, let all the enthusiest products do the R&D for you.... nice solution. Gives me an idea though.... need to find a large hair-driier and dremel out a portal for a heatsink.

Looks to me more like a self contained liquid cooling setup. If you look at the second photo you can see what appears to be three copper tubes running down to where a heatsink should be, then a gap up to the fan chamber.

So I guess I should have said looks to me more like a self contained liquid cooling or phase change liquid cooling setup. I sure as hell new it wasn't a couple of sodium valves strapped on the cpu. :p

That blue one cant be real. There is no way to fit that into most cases I've seen. It would get in the way of the PSU.

ROFL!!!! Bahaha!! :D Nice.

Even if it IS a self contained watercooling setup, it's still a POS as it takes up the ENTIRE interior of the case!! Even a x1040 case would be full! Forget about a mATX case w/that POS. It's crap. :p

That's an Asus K8V Deluxe. The thing is basically one of those tower coolers with a plastic shell and two integrated fans.

Yeah I was kinda getting at that, that it was a Athlon board when I pointed it out but I don't have a A64 and am not all that firmiliar with the boards. Either way why would the A64's need a cooler like that as they run pretty damn cool as it is, and even OCed they don't seem to get to hot. weird

My guess is was a "HEY look what we can do!" product, and not really anything ment for retail. Kinda like, well, if it even came to needing something so big, we can make it. Either way, it will get some attention, which is prolly exactly what the company wanted.

Still another reason i will never look to INQ for news..;)
