New Power Supply, Help Me Pick

Hey all,

I've been trying to overclock, and as I've been doing this I've noticed my -12V rail is at -12.85 -- -13.26 V, staying at about -13.02 most of the time. This is obviously leading to some instability with my system, and these fluxuations occur even at stock speeds. Right now it's just a crappy PSU that came with my RaidMax case.

I've been looking around and I've been wondering which PSU would be best out of the following four. It will need to power 2 optical drives, 2 SATA HDDs, the motherboard (w/ Athlon 64 2800+) and eventually it will power a BFG 6800 Ultra OC. I need steady rails to keep my OC stable.

Fortron True Blue 500W (Dual 12V rails) - $89
OCZ PowerStream 520W - $141
OCZ ModStream 520W - $120
Ultra X-Connect 500W 0 $110

Which of these would be best to power this system, considering value and power, and which is the best of the modulars? Please point out any good or bad points about these, but no mindless "_____ _____ sucks" and what-not.

Thanks,
Jaimie

The -12V rail is unused in most systems these days. The only thing I know of that uses it is the signalling for the serial port.

Also, software voltage monitoring can be wildly inaccurate. Check your rails with a voltmeter if you want to know what they really are.

So the -12V would have no effect what-so-ever on overclocking? I was just wondering, but I'm going to be purchasing a PSU soon regardless for the Ultra, as right now my PSU is only 420W, and power 2 Opticals, 2 SATA HDDs, a 9800 Pro EZ, and the mobo, of course.
