New power supply for my new hardware?

Right now I have:

Tbird 900
458MB of SDRAM
Geforce3 Ti200
20GB HD(7200rpm)
120GB HD(7200RPM)
44x CDRom
12x10x32 CDRW

all running on a 300W PS. Im upgrading my CPU to an AthlonXP 1800+, an Epox mobo, and 512MB of PC2100. Am I going to need a new PS?

i've seen several people that are still running 300 watters with their xp 1800's...yet there's still others who *claim* that you need more.

what brand is your PSU?

i say as long as it's a good quality supply, you should be able to sneak by.

from what i've heard, the XP's care more about quality of power than about quantity

search around here a bit, there's lots of similiar posts that might provide more insight

A 300W would work great on a system like that! I ran one with a 1.33GHz, 2 CD-ROMs, SB Live!, a GF3, and about 8 fans.
