New posts button just brings me to first post

Anytime I hit the "new posts" button to the left of the thread title it just brings me to the first post of the thread instead of bringing me to the first unread post. Anyone else have this problem? Running Firefox 23.0.1.
 
I've had the same problem for months. Sometimes it works for a few hours after the site goes down for maintenance. I'm running Chrome.
The only fix is to put place holder posts in threads you want to revisit, then you can find them by scrolling through your history.
 
"Go to first new post" doesn't work correctly for me either. I'm going to guess that there's no intention to ever fix it?
 
Using Version 44.0.2403.157 of Chrome.

Not a problem here - will check with my version of FF

Works OK for me in FireFox & i've never noticed it not working.

If i click that button on a thread i've never visited it'll take me to the 1st post. I assume that's how it should work.
