Is it possible to force the topic creator to answer this thread?

It wastes a lot of time and sometimes they just don't get it. Maybe even just include the text as default when you create a thread?

You can't force people to do it, because not all GH threads are about a system build. Most are, but not all. And it's merely a guideline. If the person wants help quickly then they follow the guidelines and answer the Qs properly. If they didn't then you ask them to and then decide from there if you want to help them or not. It's up to you to help them or not. Who cares if it's not as efficient? The only person who should care about how long it takes to get answers is the person who's asking the question. I don't like answering a bunch of standard questions personally because I'd rather have a friendly chat atmosphere in my thread. IMO it's up to the poster what they want to do.

It's pretty much how gorcorps put it. If they don't give enough information it only wastes their time and the question is less likely to be answered. As soon as you 'enforce' things on an open forum you start to annoy people.

Here's a little hint, * doesn't read the stickies here.

If they did, we wouldn't have anything to do.
