Some cars may not necessarily need revisions. I've seen some photos of lightpole accidents like this and the car itself (an 04-06 GTO in one case) isn't hugely damaged, but the driver was killed because the GTO didn't have side impact airbags.

And that video of the Mustang convertible is just another reason to go with a hard top. I don't see how they can make a convertible safe for a test like that without ridiculously reinforcing the top.

Not only was the door pushed IN to the compartment (bad sign), but the head/torso airbags didn't deploy. Ouch.

I want to see a Subaru run on this test. They've aced the IIHS & NHTSA crash tests since 2006 (maybe even 2005, I forget).
