new PM system is inefficient

No, but thanks for the feedback. Maybe try providing constructive criticism, these kinds of posts are useless and pointless.

I actually like it. I can create my own folders to stash them in now. Easier to fly through and delete them as well.

The only thing I miss (or maybe I just haven't seen it) is the abillity to be able to delete them based on the date.
 
it is going to take a bit of getting used to, one thing I wish is that if you clicked on eather the name or the folder Icon that it opened the PM associated with it. also I wish there were a way to view only new PM's and have a selection on if you want to only view new PM's when you visit your PM box, and beable then to go into your PM archives.

one other thing that would be nifty is if PM's were auto sorted into username folders so you can delete everything from a user in one quick swipe.

I haven't played with it enough to know if there is already a way to do this so I will investigate and post more feedback.

over all the update is decent, there are likes and dislikes.

I think that "all" should be the default for the message listing. I think it looks neater that way. 🙂

agreed, yes please ~ all as default?
 
ok I figured out how to sort by user name and delete by username, so X that one off any list.

also I got my archive feature, I just created a folder called archive and moved all read PM's into that folder.

see with a little investimagatin you can get things to do what you want 🙂.
 
It doesn't make sense to have only new pms show in the pm inbox, thats why there are folders so you move them out if you want to keep them or wipe then up to you. The new system is similar to an e-mail type system.

the old way only had new msgs there?

Answer: now its much more like an E-mail box / program.
 
Did the thread subscription PMs break during the upgrade? I started and subscribed to a thread yesterday afternoon and got the PM for the one reply, but there were some replies today that didn't get a PM. Or are subscription notifications handled differently now?

edit: Never mind, I just subscribed to some random OT thread and got a response.
 
Zuni, I noticed that if you go into your private messages folder and try to delete all of your "sent" message, once i select all of the messages and hit delete, and get prompted "Are you sure you want to delete these messages", and I click yes, but after that I get a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" error.
 
I agree, it will take some getting used to... I do not think it is quite as efficient, but I may learn with time. I also had all my subscriptions messed up...I have not gotten a notification since the change. Also, I miss being able to click "done" with the PM and it goes away on its own. That was handy and more efficient in my opinion.

I really, really like the new setup. Much more efficient, especially with the headers and the new "send PM to:" functions.
