I have a very very similar Onkyo unit and though it is not a screamer in loudness the DTS support and ease of use for something like an Xbox or Wii makes it a killer deal. And at $5 shipping it is cheaper than trying to find anything else.

LOLZ!!! $3 PWNT

Well, at least I could return it to a local WalMart if i needed to. Of course, that comes with its own caveats. Like actually having to walk into WalMart.

Any comments from the people who own one?

Remember that the CNet review was done when the price point was still around its MSRP of ~$300.

That said, I dug up my woot account that hadn't been touched in 2 years to buy one a couple of hours ago

I saw this thread when the deal was still alive. The woot homepage said that it was for xbox 360 and I wasn't sure if I could use it as a normal home theater.

I meant to look it up but got caught with other things. Now that I know it can be used as a home theater, I feel stupid :(

Walmart.com still has it for 130 +tax +shipping (unless you ship it to a Walmart and pick up locally)

Dunno if the extra 30 bucks and tax would put you off though.

I just got mine setup last night. Wonderful little system. 3 digital inputs, 1 analog input, and FM radio to boot. I have it hooked to my PC and gaming system. Very pleased with it.

Any idea how these would be compared to an old set of Logitech Z560s?

GCO would bring me to $89.99..? I've never bought anything via GCO, but it won't give me my $10 off.. :|

In for one. I just need stereo separation and something louder than the TV for now.

This doesn't look like something I could connect to a DVD player, 360, and Media PC all at once. I assume I'd need a more robust system with oodles of inputs. Then again, I know next to nothing about all of this. Someone please let me know if I'm wrong and should get in on this deal. Thanks!

Looks to me like it has an analog input, 2 optical, and 1 coaxial input.

Wondering if I should get this to go along with my $99 HDDVD player..

Any idea how to select between the different inputs? I didn't see anything on a close-up of the remote.

on the remote about half way down there is a section called "audio input" it has buttons for

xbox 360 (optical input 1)
dvd/dvr (optical input 2)
digital (rca style digital connection)
analog (stereo rca input)
