I was terribly disappointed in the Motorola Triumph. After being super excited for its arrival it ended up being buggy not only software wise, but hardware wise (took 3 replacements to get one with a USB port that didn't stick).

The battery life is atrocious and it took a ridiculous amount of tweaking just to get something that wouldn't feel like using my old HTC Touch Pro. I myself have the Thunderbolt, which is the same components as the Triumph, but it is so many leagues better in terms of usability.

The EVO 4G will have much better GPU and CPU performance but I worry about the battery life. It wasn't all that great on the sprint version and I can't imagine it getting much better on VM.

After the Triumph, I'm going to have my reserves until I see some extended reviews of this.

I really wish Sprint MVNOs let you bring your own device. I have a perfectly fine Samsung Epic sitting here and while I could get it on Virgin Mobile, I'd have to do an ESN swap, which is complicated and risky. Don't really feel like paying $300 to get basically the same thing. If it was $200 I'd think about it.

I've said it many times, and I'll say it again: YAY FOR SMARTPHONE COMMODITIZATION!
