The 32gb model, with this sale, would be $350, as opposed to $450. (Developer Edition phones are also included)
Now, one concession would be screen size. It is a 4.7" screen, and with no physical/touch buttons (they are drawn on-screen at the bottom, the standard Google approach), so the apparent screen size can sometimes be smaller. Usually they do disappear when watching videos, so it's not always not utilizing the full display size.
I fear that it may seem I push this phone a lot on this forum, but over the phones I've utilized in the past, considering what I personally want in a phone, this trumps them all. It's just so... right.
It's responsiveness and utility are impressive, and definitely a few steps above what the specs would otherwise suggest.
If you don't need 32GB and can handle 16GB, and can drop in screen size a tiny amount, I think this is probably the best possible device you could get at that price off-contract.
And it truly does keep toe-to-toe in most ways with the flagship phones that cost more. This is Motorola's flagship for this generation of their phones. I wouldn't doubt if in the summer they announce a phone that runs laps around this one, but it will also cost more. They want the flagship phone price but found out people care very highly about specs. That said, I wouldn't have paid $600+ for this phone, no way. I did get it at $400 though.
