New PDA doesn't recognize CF card

My Xmas present, a new Axim x51v PDA doesn't recognize my Seagate 5 GB ST1 drive. This drive is supposed to be compatible with CF type II accepting PDA's (like myu Axim). Do I need to load some type of driver or somehow tell the Axim I've installed the card?

Many mobile OSs have size limitations that apply to CF cards. If it is standard and other cards work, sell it and get smaller cards.
