Hi all,

I'm planning to get a new PC in the upcoming week. I have serious doubt in between two configurations. I was curios to know if there will be any noticeable difference in between the two and not only benchmark differences. What I'm interested in is the windows boot time, application starting time, copying files from NAS over a GbE, browsing, some light VM's used for testing, etc.

My budget configuration is
AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Boxed
Be quiet! Pure Rock
MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon
Crucial Ballistix Sport LT Red 32GB DDR4-2400 CL16 kit
Crucial MX300 525GB
Gigabyte Radeon RX 550 Gaming OC 2GB

Meanwhile a "deluxe" setup would be:
AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Boxed
Be quiet! Pure Rock
Gigabyte Radeon RX 550 Gaming OC 2GB
Kingston HyperX Predator Black 32GB DDR4-3666 CL13 kit
MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon
Samsung 960 Pro 512GB

There is substantial difference in price in between the two, but is there such a marked difference in the operations I listed above?

Thanks

So really, the differences between the two, are from a B350, to the same model X370 board, from an MX300 SATA SSD to a 960 Pro M.2 NVMe, and from DDR4-2400 to 3666?

Indeed. Would this components make a noticeable difference in everyday use? Or you can see the difference only in benchmarks and games?

The Radeon Rx 550 video card you choose is a very low end card that . will drag performance. I advise going with the first build and replacing the GPU with something better.

Well, it's not a gaming PC. I went for the 550 because I need to drive 3 monitors and of it's x264/x265 decoding capabilities.
