Well, suspect I may need a new pc. I would prefer to Build one but my current pc crapped the bed and I neec one quick as I use it for work remoting and don't have a backup.

I also do gaming so needs to Be decent. I can salvage a couple things from the old one like the video card (9800gt). so need a place where I can customize everything.

been long long time since I shopped around. I remember hearing good things about cyberpower pcs. I would hope some good deals given the economy?

suggestions?

Might look at www.directron.com I have purchased equip from them for my last build. They sell systems and parts. They are a Yahoo store with a good rating. They are fair and honest. Dont know about returns due to overclocking damage. Never had to return anything there.

Tech Bargains dot com currently lists this Vostro 420 deal (I think Dell gives you Windows 7 Upgrade for free if you buy either Vista Home Premium or Vista Business now):

"Dell Vostro 420 Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz Desktop (4GB/250GB/Vista Biz + XP Pro) $529, Jul. 27 7 AM
Dell Small Business has the Dell Vostro 420 Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 Desktop Computer w/ Vista Business/XP Professional for $529.00. $35.00 Shipping. Tax in most.
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33GHz; 4GB RAM; 250GB HDD; DVD burner; gigabit ethernet; Vista Business + Windows XP Pro Downgrade; ATI Radeon HD 3450 256MB w/ HDMI; 1yr warranty"
Vostro 220 deals are usuallly around $400, but I don't see one listed right now (Vostro 220 at least has 300W psu, no power connector for video card, and I think I read somewhere that mobo is crippled to only accept 300W psu, not sure on that, though).
