New Pc Suggestions/Advice

I know there has been a post about this recently, however, it didn't really answer my questions fully. I'm a new computer enthusiast and I'm in the process of setting up my first rig. I inted to use this computer primarily for nex-gen gaming such as Oblivion and Crysis, While I have picked out some of the components, alot of gaps need to be filled and any advice you could lend me would be much appreeciated. As of this moment my set-up will look like this:

Video card- Sapphire x1900 xt

MoBo - Asus a8r32 MVP Deluxe (if I go with a 939 chipset)

Chipset - Undecided (I could get an FX55 for $250.00, but I don't know if it's worth it with things like conroe comming out soon)

Memory - 2 x 1GB of ?

Storage - atleast 50GB of ?

As you can see there are alot of things I'm unsure of simply becuase I don't know what to look for in each of the components. So any advice on what to look for or suggestions for components I should look into would greatly be appreciated.

My suggestion is thus: Get that board, a 3200+, that vid card 2x1gb ocz or gskill ddr500 ram, a wd raptor or a 7200.10 seagate drive and a good water cooling setup. If you've got ~$2000 this should all be possible.

I know this may seem obvious to you...but can you explain to my why you chose that RAM and drive? What makes those so "special"?

As for the hard drives, the western digital raptor has the best performance (seek time, etc) of any sata hard drive, but is not really a great value. If you want the best then get it. Other than that, you can find some great deals on retail or OEM seagate 7200.10 drives with perpendicular recording. These are probably the best 7.2k drives out there. The 250gb can be found for ~$80. DDR500 ram is great for overclocking, which is also my suggestion to you in order to get the most out of that 3200+. It operates at 250mhz, but commonly overclocks to 290mz. This way, you can set your fsb (htt) to 290 and set the multiplier to 9 or 10 and you've got an fx55 right there. Setting the multiplier to 10 would be your best bet, giving you very high clock speeds, however you'll bench higher with a lower muliplier. You might even be able to achieve these speeds with air cooling (tuniq tower, scythe mine/ninja plus or thermalright si-128) and with a 1:1 ratio you'll be able to bench high anyway. OCZ is probably one of the most respected brands, but g.skill offers great value and awesome overclocking performance. OCZ has a lot of MIR's available and their gold series can operate at ridiculous voltages, though it's only protected up to 3.1v. Newegg, zipzoomfly and monarchcomputers have great deals on RAM, check them out.
