ok well i tried to boot up my computer after installing the DFI UT mother board with my 2 gigs of OCZ platinum ram but when i boot up i get long beeps with around 2-3 seconds in between... i read that some ram takes more voltage than others and maybe to push the ram to 4 volts or something... im really confused on what is wrong...

Not enough info, guy 🙂 Can you list out full specs? If you want a template, you can hit Quote and modify this sample, if you feel like being super-thorough. Also, make sure all four power plugs are hooked up to your DFI, it takes four.

Check that you have all the power plugs hooked up (24-pin main, 4-pin square, HDD-style and FDD-style), and also the power plug for the video card itself (example pic).

Also, the mobo is mounted on standoffs, right? Sorry for the dumb question 😱

when i strart the PCi can count to 3 between thebeeps, does anyone know what that means with this board??

3 beeps means its trying to find the cpu so you must be on the old 1.25. you should still be able to get it to post though.

try a clear cmos- power off, unplug the cord and clear the jumper for a few minutes, put the jumper back and plug back and power up again.

and make sure your cpu is seated properly.

edit- for future reference-

4 red lights = system start-up
3 red lights = CPU detected
2 red lights = DRAM detected
1 red light = VGA detected
0 red lights = system boot-up

edit 2-- use just 1 stick in the #2 slot , orange closest the edge of the board, until you get running. and unplug anything else you don't need.

well, if 3 are lit it means its hanging on "searching for cpu"

did you do the clear cmos?
