I'm putting together the components for a new PC and I'm having a bit of trouble.

Mobo: Abit P35
Video: XFX Geforce 8800 GTS 320MB
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Mem: 2x 1GB OCZ PC6400 DDR2
PSU: Antec NeoPower 480 Watt

I've tried reseating all the components and using each DIMMs seperately, but to no avail.

It will start to power up for a couple seconds and then shut off. After a few seconds it will repeat the cycle.

The power supply only has a four pin connector for the Mobo instead of the recommended 8 pin, but the manual says that this should still work. I did notice too that this PSU is only rated at 18A on the main 12V rail. This seems to be too low so I've ordered a PCP&C 610 Watt that runs at 49A and has the right connectors. Would the PSU be enough of a reason to prevent me from getting a video signal or should I be looking for a problem with one of the other components? It will be a few days before I get to try it with the new PSU and I hope to have this thing up and running in time for Crysis.

well, right off I have a feeling it's the PSU is underpowered, and you came to that conclusion too. get the new PSU, and let us know how it goes.

When we build new gaming pc's for customers, we always suggest a PSU with at least 700Watts when using a 8800 video card. Dual 8800's, we suggest at least over 900watts but some customers actually go with 1000-1200watt PSU's. Anyway, like robisbell said, your PSU is underpowered. Our recommended wattage is maybe a bit high but we don't want the PSU running at full or close to full capacity all the time, know what I mean. It's basically safer to go higher than to have barely have enough and run the PSU too hot.
