Hey guys,

I just ordered a whole new PC and it came in today (thanks to all your help who aided me) and I set it up and it's perfect and all that.

I just have a question about the monitor. I purchased an Acer GD235HZbid 120hz 1080p monitor, which works very good, but in the settings I can either put it at 1080P HD 1920 X 1080 at 59hz, or 1920 x 1080 native at 120hz.

My question is:

Is it possible to run 1080P at 120hz, or am I stuck to either native 1920 x 1080 120hz or 1920 x 1080 1080P 59hz.

If I have to choose between the two, which one is better for gaming?

I'm using a GTX 570. All drivers are updated.

Thanks guys.

IIRC, the 59Hz is 2xNTSC (29.97...Hz), for TV and movie watching with the occasional stutter.

Computer monitors are all progressive.

Hmm, when I plugged it in it showed the options of HD 1920 x 1080 with 1080P right next to it that I could only put 59hz on, and another one that had 1920 x 1080 with no mention of 1080P or HD, that could be put on 120hz.

Now all it's showing me is 1920 x 1080 native 120hz, so.. I don't know. I guess it fixed itself.

It's probably showing you the 1080P-60hz under the HDTV category in your resolution selection as mentioned above. Farther down when you get into the "PC" rez and refresh rates is where you'll see 19x10 at 120hz.
